Love him or Hate him, but you can't ignore the fact that Roman Reigns is the Biggest Superstar in not only WWE, the whole Professional Wrestling in general.

The Aura he created, the bar he had set will be one hell of a task to meet, let alone crossing it anyhow. Ever since he became the WWE Universal Champion on August 30, 2020 at WWE Payback, he has had a Historic run, still lasting to this day, having a lot of story components and elements in between whether its being in the Bloodline & ruling all over WWE, then the fight in the Bloodline and everybody going in each ways and so on. Also becoming the WWE Champion, which leads on to unify the belts and giving Roman the title of the "Undisputed WWE Universal Champion".

Its 2024 now, with Roman being the champion for about 4 and a half year if we just round up the numbers. As the Story progressed, the layers on this title reign unfolded, many started loving The Tribal Chief or The Head of the Table gimmick of Roman Reigns, even who hated Roman in the past (mostly in his Big Dog version), the most were now his admirers. But as the time passed, surely many has now started turning their back on Roman, titling this reign boring & repetitive, mostly starting after Roman started having the "part-time" schedule where he shows up extremely rarely, sometimes not even for months.

The IWC is in a group of two now, one who loves Roman not matter what & one side being the dislikers who aren't really impressed at all, and ever since this started happening, the talks of Roman Reigns potentially losing the title & ending this historic reigns has started exponentially.

Now as we have gone through from a bit of backstory, let's straight get back onto the exact title of the blog, Who will dethrone Roman Reigns? And mostly Importantly WHEN?

I can already tell you one thing, whenever Roman finally loses his title, it would be an extremely special moment. It would be something everyone would would talk about, not just the wrestling community but also the mainstream media. Basically a moment which defines someone's accomplishment of a lifetime.

Who will be the "ONE" ?

FINISH THE STORY !

As the thing stands currently in the WWE, the only real possible threat i can think of is none other than the American Nightmare, Cody Rhodes.

Ever since he fell short of winning the match at WM39 Night 2's main event, specially after Solo Sikoa's interference, it was pretty evident that his redemption started at the very moment. After having alot of side stories, whether it being tested by Brock Lesnar, being against the Judgment Day, winning the tag titles with Jey Uso & having a heated rivalry with Shinsuke Nakamura, he has pretty much done it all, atleast done enough to have faced enough adversity, which many people said before his initial main event at WM, that "Cody hasn't faced enough adversity, he gotta prove himself alot more", so that people would surely be silent this time.

BUT HERE COMES THE VERY MAJOR TWIST

THE ROCK IS HERE

The Rock returns to WWE on the "DAY 1" edition of Monday Night Raw. Although he did appear on the September 15, 2023 edition of Friday Night SmackDown as well, but this time was different, REALLY DIFFERENT.

On SmackDown, The Rock had a segment with Austin Theory & Pat McAfee with no other references, a pure segment of The Rock roasting Theory in his popular way, but this time, even though he did have his major of the segment with Jinder Mahal, the very last line of the ending point in the segment, which being "or should i sit at the Head of the Table", actually turned the tables completely.

This was a clear reference to Roman Reigns, who claims himself as being the "Tribal Chief" and being on the "Head of the Table". Now the dead talks have risen again, the IWC Community has woken up again & it is pretty clear that we are so close on getting that much-awaited battle of the Bloodline, The Rock vs Roman Reigns.

SOLO SIKOA : THE SECRET ENFORCER?

You certainly can't rule out the Tribal Heir, Solo Sikoa from the mix. As being seen the next big thing, the future of the Bloodline, it definitely makes sense for him to step up & take the titles from Roman Reigns.

Story-line wise, this decision could/would be the best bet, the biggest superstar in the business ultimately losing to his own blood, setting him up to carry forward the family's legacy.

BUT WILL THIS BE A RIGHT DECISION AFTERALL?

WrestleMania 40 : Who will be the One?

Its the month of January, only about 4 months for the Grandest Stage of them All to take place. The biggest question right now is who will be Roman Reigns's opponent at the Spectacle. The 2 most rumored & actually possible names are Cody Rhodes & The Rock.

Cody Rhodes simply cause being on the Redemption Arc, The Rock on the fight for the status, the right to be called the real "Head of the Table".

I think, personally, the best case scenario here would be to do the Rock vs Roman match at Elimination Chamber, which is taking place at Perth, Australia this year. There's already plenty rumors from the Western Australian Media that the officials there wants the Rock, and its pretty obvious that whenever its the talk for Business, WWE is definitely the smartest company out there. So, if the Australian people wants the Rock & and are paying good money for it, WWE would definitely find a way to make it happen (Saudi shows are a clear example for such).

The results for this match is & would be pretty clear, The Rock isn't a full timer & pretty much not even a part-timer, he's someone who shows up like once in 4-5 years or so, so there isn't much sense in making him win & on the other hands, Roman Reigns is the current Star and a win over the most famous Wrestler or even Person in the World would be a lifetime accomplishment for the Tribal Chief.
Then at WrestleMania 40, we can get the rematch between Cody & Roman, where Cody finally gets his revenge & finishes the Story.

BUT THE ACTUAL QUESTION RISES AGAIN

WILL ROMAN REIGNS ACTUALLY LOSE?

So getting back on square one, will Roman Reigns actually lose the title? If yes so to whom, and most importantly when?

So i personally think that there are only 2 major contenders or you can say "real threats" on dethroning Roman Reigns, and that is Cody Rhodes & Solo Sikoa, as we talked before. Anybody else defeating Roman doesn't make any sense, neither storyline wise nor in general.
Roman losing the title is inevitable, obviously nobody can be the Champion forever but after having such a long & historic reign, you really gotta think twice before pulling the plug.

Although WrestleMania 40 looks like a perfect place for Roman to lose the title, we should not forget that Roman is extremely near on breaking Hulk Hogan's record of holding the WWE/WWF Title for 1,474 days & he will ultimately surpass him around end of September, 2024. Which means he gotta retain the title at WM40, and the way Roman has been booked all this time, it won't be any surprise he actually retains & beats Hulk Hogan's title reign.

Besides Roman surpassing Hogan's title reign, i can't really think of any reason on why Roman Reigns should "retain" his title, he's been champion for enough now & i think its time to pull the plug.

The Final Verdict

So, at last, i think (and want) that Roman Reigns will be losing his WWE Undisputed Championship, to CODY RHODES!

Rock vs Roman, even though much anticipated, everyone knows the result, Rock is a "one-time" appearance guy & neither there is any sense nor there is any need to Rock winning the title.

Solo Sikoa, looking a great guy for the future, is definitely not the "GUY", atleast not right now for being the "Face" of the company. He's not really that much big of a draw, he has not faced enough "adversity" (that's what they said about Cody so that implements for Solo right), neither he's ready to be in the main event nor there is enough time for WWE to wait to let Solo get over with the WWE Universe and then make Roman over Solo. We've pretty much seen everything Roman could do with the title & waiting too long will just hurt his character, if not the fans completely turn against on him.

Cody Rhodes has done pretty much all since he came back, feuding with almost all the roster, facing enough adversity, being constant in the top merchandise sellers, the top baby-face and ultimately the "Face" of the Company, and there's not a single reason to not put the title on him.

CODY RHODES WILL DEFEAT ROMAN REIGNS AT WRESTLEMANIA 40 & FINALLY FINISH HIS STORY!
